Video Workflow Print E-mail

video_workflow.pngAs with all major projects, an organized approach is essential to a successfully produced video. We do our best to keep all of the various people and systems moving together toward the ultimate goal of representing your firm well on the screen.

Pre-Production

Planning is the most important and often the most overlooked part of any creative endeavor. The more time spent planning and preparing for the actual shoot, the smoother things tend to go when the cameras are rolling. Pre-production officially starts when the Scope of Work is agreed to.

  • Research covers everything from location scouting ,product research, and fact-checking to investigative interviewing
  • The Treatment is the simple, clearly stated concept for the project.
  • Scripts & Storyboards help communicate the vision and dialogue to everyone involved in the production
  • Assemble Cast & Crew when everything else is ready to proceed

Production

Many clients are surprised to find that the shortest phase of a video production is the actual production phase. Production is by far the most important segment of the video-making process—all the efforts leading up to and after the shoot depend on the quality of the footage captured.

  • Principle Photography is shooting the action, actors and scenes decided upon during the scripting and storyboarding phase.
  • B-Roll Photography is capturing the non-action shots that will be used later during editing to add visual interest to the scene.
  • Audio is also acquired during production. All of the ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording), VO (Voice-Overs), SFX (Sound Effects), and music can either licensed or original scores can be written and recorded.

Post-Production

After the excitement of shooting, the real work begins, turning raw footage into a polished video that your firm is proud to show.

  • Editing is the process of cutting together different shots to create the scenes. During this process any graphic effects will be added and the audio tracks will be mixed.
  • Client Review is your opportunity for input on the project. Two review sessions are included in the contract.
  • Package Artwork & Duplication is the design of the disk sleeves and making the number of copies you ordered.
